Statement of Faith

THE WORD OF GOD

We believe that the Bible, (the Old and New Testament), is God’s Word, written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. It is accurate, authoritative and our all-sufficient rule for faith, applicable to our everyday lives.

GOD THE FATHER

We believe in the one true and Living God, the Creator of all things. He has revealed Himself as one eternal being co-existing in three persons, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

JESUS CHRIST

We believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God who came to this earth through the virgin birth, had a sinless life, miraculous ministry, substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, triumphant ascension and abid in intercession and that He is coming back again in power and glory.

HOLY SPIRIT

We believe in the Holy Spirit who dwells in every believer in Jesus Christ as helper, teacher and guide. He cultivates Christian character, comforts believers, grants the spiritual gifts and empowers the believer and the church in worship, evangelism, and service.

FALL OF MAN

We believe that man was created in the image of God, but sin separated us from God and this resulted in the fall of man.

SALVATION THROUGH FAITH

We believe in grace and salvation through faith in Christ, who died on the cross in our place for our sins, was buried and was raised from the dead, and that He is the only one that can reconcile us to God and redeem us.

NEW BIRTH

In order to receive forgiveness we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and submit to His will in our lives. Conversion and new birth are the immediate and complete work of the Holy Spirit by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

BAPTISM BY IMMERSION IN WATER

We believe that all who have truly repented and believed in Christ our Lord and Saviour are commanded to be baptized by immersion in water.

BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe in the baptism and the fulfilment in the Holy Spirit as an empowerment of the believer with power for service and to use the spiritual gifts, including the speaking in other languages as the Spirit gives utterance

GIFTS AND FRUIT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe in the operation of the gifts and fruit of the Holy Spirit in the Church today in order to live the holy and fruitful lives that God intends for us.

DIVINE HEALING

We believe that God wants to heal us, transform us and deliver us from bondage and sickness in body, mind and soul.

THE CHURCH

We believe in the Church, as a living spiritual body of which Christ is the head and all believers are members. We believe in the power and significance of coming together regularly to discover His purpose for our lives, which is to worship God, fulfil our role in the Church and serve the community we live in.

COMMUNION

We believe that all who have truly repented and believe in Christ as Lord and Saviour should regularly share communion: the breaking of bread and drinking of wine to represent His broken body and His blood that was shed on the cross.

RESURRECTION OF ALL WHO TRULY BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST

We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men and that our eternal destination of either conscious bliss or everlasting conscious separation depends on our response to the Lord Jesus Christ

GOD HONORS MARRIAGE

We believe that God intended sexual relations within marriage, between a man and a woman, committed to each other.
